The government awarded top performing farmers of Central Development Region amid a function organized in Dhulikhel on Tuesday. Minister for Agricultural Development Haribol Gajurel gave away President Excellence Awards to top performing farmers of the central region. Ghana Nath Mahato of Madi-2, Chitwan, received President Excellence Award in recognition of his outstanding performance in banana farming. Similarly, Rita Thakuri of Chitlang-2, Makawanpur, received the award for her involvement in production of cheese from goat milk. Similarly, Rangdan Tamang of Daduwa-2 of Ramechhap received the award for fruit farming, Shyam Bahadur Khadka of Bhimeshwor-10 of Dolakha for kiwi farming and Dhurba Raj Biswakarma of Benighat-2, Dhading, for fishery.
