The budget session of parliament has begun at the parliament building in New Baneshwar on Tuesday. President Bidya Devi Bhandari had summoned the House session for today as per Article 296(6) of the constitution. Earlier, the Cabinet had recommended the date to commence the session to the President. In today’s meeting, it observed a minute's silence in memory of martyrs who lost their life in the struggle for democracy and republicanism.
